A verified starting balance
Real recalls can now record a verified opening balance for a finished batch. Review the stock unit and quantities before recording operations. Batches without an opening balance are shown as untracked rather than silently counted as zero.
Record the actual recall operation
The recall workflow supports auditable quarantine, destruction, release and shipment-linked returns. Stock validation prevents negative balances and returns above the recorded shipment quantity. Inspect the linked shipment before entering a return. Mock recalls remain documentary and do not move stock; closed recalls reject new stock operations.
Follow balances from batch or product
Saved batches show finished-stock balances and movement history. Products show balances across tracked batches, grouped by unit, with links to individual batches. Returned quantities are cumulative and are not an additional available-stock bucket.

Traceability explorer, distribution and recalls now have separate URLs and consistent navigation. Source selectors query up to 20 recently updated records and search on the server as you type. Required-field errors appear below the corresponding inputs. Recall PDF reports also have a clearer layout.
Keep the scope clear
Finished stock here is a recall-specific ledger, not a complete finished-goods warehouse. Ordinary distribution records do not deduct stock, and recall stock operations do not change raw-material or packaging stock. Historical documentary dispositions without linked movements remain documentary. Follow your authorised process for real recall decisions and communications.
